Troop Goals

  1. Plan and participate in an outdoor program that offers adventure, challenge, excitement and fun.

  2. Learn Scouting skills to be used in our activities.

  3. Develop leadership skills in each scout.

  4. Perform community service and conservation projects, to give of ourselves (good turn) and improve and respect the environment and nature.

  5. Work towards the aims of scouting.

    a) Develop Fitness - Physical, Mental, Moral and Emotional
    b) Build Character - each scout should become more self-reliant, competent and self-confident through activities and advancement.
    c) Foster Citizenship - Have pride in God and Country - Grow in citizenship, patriotism and in your church.

  6. Use the Patrol method for our activities.

  7. Develop competition and sportsmanship as a Troop, as Patrols and as individuals. Learn and demonstrate teamwork and friendship among all scouts in the troop. Participate in scouting challenges with each scout taking an active part. Everyone “Makes this team and plays” – not just a few.

  8. Operate a safe program.

  9. Have fun while learning when doing Scouting activities.

  10. Each Scout should advance at least one rank each year.

    a) Each scout working towards Eagle
    b) Earn at least 2 merit badges at summer camp with one being an Eagle required.
    c) Earn the Swimming merit badge as early in Scouting as possible. (A Scout does not have to be able to swim to join Scouting, but he should learn while in the troop).

  11. Earn at least one ribbon at any district campout or skills event.

  12. Develop more pride in Scouting and in the Troop.

  13. Increase the number of Scouts in the Troop.

  14. Provide the opportunities for each Scout to meet individual needs and goals.

  15. Work on money earning projects to help finance the Troop and individual Scouting needs.

  16. To have pride in wearing the Scout uniform and to wear it correctly.
