All registered boys of Troop 271 and at least one parent or adult substitute of each boy must work a minimum of 4 fish
fry shifts (unless special arrangements have been made with the Scoutmaster). At the discretion of the Scoutmaster, the
Boys may work more than 4 shifts if they want to and they are needed.
The net profits from the Fish Fry will be divided 50/50 between the troop general fund and the boy’s individual accounts.
Boys will be paid an hourly rate based on number of hours worked. Parents will be paid at ½ of the boy’s hourly rate and
the money deposited to their son’s account.
Registered leaders of Troop 271 will also be paid at ½ the boys hourly rate and can either have their money deposited in
an individual account for scout activities or have their money deposited in their son’s account.
Annual Fish Fry Rules
All food is to be paid for. (We are trying to earn money to support the boys and the troop – some items left over at the
end of the night may be given to the boys or adults for a reduced price.)
You must sign in and out for each shift you work. (If you do not sign in or out, your hours may not be recorded.)
No eating (other than the snack provided) while on duty.
Remember the Scout Oath and Scout Law – Customer Service is the top priority.
Arrive on time; do not leave until your shift ends. (Late shift workers should plan on staying until the clean up is
done.)
Work all shifts you are scheduled. If you trade with a fellow scout, a) make sure your shift is covered, & b) make sure
the Scoutmaster is aware of the change.
Scouts should not show up to “hang out” at the Fish Fry if they are not scheduled to work.
Scouts should not invite or encourage their friends to show up to “hang out” at the Fish Fry when they are scheduled to
work.
